Pregnancy portraits are AMAZING!!!
It is probably one of the most relaxed and heart-warming type of shoots that I undertake with my clients. There are so many layers of emotions that are captured when I spend an hour or two with a couple and their bump.
I think it is the added connection of the unborn child within a new mother that focuses the mind and brings a sense of purpose to both parents-to-be, and you can see that. It creates such strong, striking images that are tender and loving.
There is something magical and mesmerising about the beauty of a pregnant woman. The gentle roundness of the tummy as it keeps the baby tucked safely inside – beautiful.
I truly love taking pregnancy portraits. It is really amazing to be able to share wonderful moments with people that otherwise are complete strangers. It probably helps that my wife and I are expecting our first child soon and somehow it seems to mean so much more. It helps me to appreciate how much these types of images mean to people a lot more than it did before.
